Got vino? Join us in Tuscany, the birthplace of the Renaissance. Cities in this region include Florence, Sienna, Pisa, and Lucca. Artists and composers from the area include Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael, Michelangelo, Donatello, and Puccini. Tuscany’s best-known wine regions include: Brunello di Montalcino, Chianti Classico, and Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, as well as Vernaccia di San Gimignano and Carmignano.

  • Includes: lodging in agriturismos (B&B’s) and 3-star hotels, breakfasts, guide, sag wagon, E-bikes
  • Terrain: gentle rolling hills comprised of vineyards, farmland, cypress and olive trees.
  • Riding surfaces: 50/50 tarmac and gravel
  • Average daily mileage: approx. 28 - 33 mi. You don’t need to be a super athlete to do this.  We’re on hybrid / comfort E-bikes.
  • Closest airport: Florence
  • Route: Loop tour out of Gaiole (approx.1.5 hr. SE of Florence)
  • Average temp in Tuscany during the 1st week of May ranges from 68° to 72°

We utilize a network of bike paths and roads with minimal traffic.  Our lodging includes comfortable barges, nice sailboats, cozy B&Bs, and 3 and 4-star hotels.

Aad van Opstal - Guide, ace bike mechanic, sag wagon driver, and wine connoisseur.  Aad hails from the Netherlands and spends most of the year in Italy supporting bike trips and pedaling vino.

Lily Talley - Tech support and social media coordinator. When not helping out behind the scenes, Lily enjoys: working for the City of Asheville, CrossFit, and spending time with her labradoodle, Maggie.
