What We Offer
At Windmill Bike Tours we offer small group bike trips for a range of abilities. Our fleet of bikes includes 24-speed hybrid and electric bikes.
In the Netherlands, we utilize a network of bike paths of over 12 thousand miles. Our lodging is on very comfortable barges comprised of 6 - 10 cabins, a dining room, and a well-appointed lounge. Interesting fact: there are more bikes than people in the Netherlands.
Bike routes in Italy consist of quiet county roads. We stay in hotels and family run rural bed and breakfasts (B&B). The B&B's are housed in recently restored farmhouses referred to as a cascinas or agriturismos. These B&B's typically have a pool and air-conditioning. It's not uncommon for the family running the inn to have 3 generations helping out with the day to day operation.
Cycling through the wine regions of France is like going back in time. We ride through medieval villages, and pass by stately chateaus. The routes are on a combination of cycle paths and secondary roads with low traffic meandering through gently rolling terrain.
